Digital Rapid Response at Mount Rainier, Maryland
Job Role
Monitor the full landscape - news, broadcast, podcasts, social, and long-form - on the issues we define, and surface the content and moments worth acting on before they peak.
Catch and cut: clip, snip, and pull video, audio, and print media and package it into ready-to-post formats for multiple platforms and distribution partners.
Turn a raw moment into a finished asset fast - a news hit, a floor speech, a viral thread, a damaging article - reformatted for X, IG, and our partner network on tight timelines.
Post and publish across owned accounts when the moment calls for it, with a feel for voice, timing, and what travels.
Drive rapid response: when a false or hostile narrative emerges, get an answer out quickly, accurately, and with sourced material.
Coordinate distribution - hand off packaged content to partner accounts and influencers and make sure it lands where it should, when it should.
Track what works: monitor performance and feed it back into sharper targeting and faster turnarounds.
High agency, non-negotiable. You see the opening and move without waiting to be told. You own outcomes, not tasks.
Political fluency. Real experience in conservative politics and communications - campaigns, party committees, conservative media, advocacy orgs, or a rapid-response shop. You know the players, the outlets, and how the conversation moves on the right.
Modern comms instincts. You understand how narratives are built and broken online today, and what makes content travel on X and beyond.
Hands-on production. You can clip and package media yourself - comfortable with editing and content tools, fast and clean under deadline.
Speed under pressure. You do your best work when the clock is running and the moment is live.
Judgment. You know what's worth chasing, what's a trap, and what crosses a line - and you operate cleanly.
Direct experience in a campaign war room or rapid-response operation.
An existing network of distribution partners, influencers, or allied accounts.
Familiarity with monitoring and sentiment tools (e.g., Meltwater, Grabien) and social analytics.
