Accounting Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Accounting / Bookkeeper to support settlement and post-closing accounting functions within a title company environment. This role is ideal for someone who is strong with numbers, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Handle post-closing escrows, disbursements, and remittances
• Assist in preparing and reviewing settlement statements
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations
• Track, research, and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely settlements
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of bookkeeping, settlement, escrow, or accounting experience
• Prior title company experience strongly preferred
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Highly organized, efficient, and dependable
• Calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment
