The Director of Business Strategy will lead the development and implementation of facility business strategy, service line development, physician recruitment, data analysis, consumer engagement, and overall organizational performance. The role requires strategic thinking, financial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and a proven ability to translate data into actionable plans.
Strategy Development and Implementation- Develop and implement strategies that improve market share in alignment with Tenet’s mission and core values.
- Analyze market dynamics, trends and competition to introduce strategies that meet demand.
- Assess market development strategy and industry trends to generate innovative ideas for the business plan.
- Lead the annual business planning process, preparing forecasts and demonstrating exceptional financial management.
- Advise the CEO on short‑ and long‑term strategies and influence organizational goals and metrics.
- Lead senior executive teams in advancing the facility’s strategic plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure consensus for new or expanded inpatient and outpatient services based on supply gaps and market demand.
- Collaborate with hospital/department leaders to develop service lines, ensuring physician engagement for quality and financial success.
- Understand operational components for new service lines, covering capital, equipment, staffing, education, quality metrics and costs.
- Monitor service line performance using key metrics such as volume, outcomes, and market share.
- Gather competitive intelligence and engage community and payer partners to support service line initiatives.
- Leverage network opportunities across Tenet and Tenet JV facilities.
- Support Provider Outreach Program priorities, identifying outreach partners and developing metrics.
- Ensure physician and partner visibility of new initiatives and address service gaps.
- Plan and direct strategies to develop physician relationships and manpower plans aligned with service line plans.
- Collaborate with recruiters to fulfill community needs in alignment with service line requirements.
- Maintain high physician community visibility and build loyalty through active engagement.
- Study internal and external data trends to uncover opportunities for community service improvement.
- Identify and vet new business opportunities based on research.
- Monitor internal data to manage business variables and implement corrective actions.
- Leverage all available data to support decision‑making.
- Execute marketing plans that differentiate services and generate measurable ROI.
- Lead consumer education initiatives to enhance patient experience.
- Participate in patient advisory, physician leadership, and satisfaction committees.
- Develop budget‑aware consumer engagement strategies to increase differentiation and awareness.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Healthcare Strategy/Development.
