The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking to hire a Weigh Station Lead Technician at the Bland Motor Carrier Service Center (MCSC)!
This position is only open to current DMV employees. The Lead Station Technician (LST) ensures the enforcement of commercial vehicle size and weight regulations on Virginia's highways, contributing to the safety of motorists and protection of infrastructure. This role exists to monitor weigh station operations, issue citations for violations, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and coordinate with law enforcement personnel. The LST is responsible for the maintenance of equipment to ensure the proper operational standards are upheld and support DMV's mission of safeguarding lives and securing identities. Training will be provided. The position will work the overnight shift and will receive a shift differential of $1,660 annually. Ready to make a difference on Virginia's roads?
