About the Role
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Including Holidays)
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all inbound shipments, ensuring that our inventory is accurately recorded, quality-checked, and processed efficiently.
This position requires a mix of administrative coordination and hands-on warehouse activity within a refrigerated environment (36°ree;F). If you have strong data entry skills and thrive in a fast-paced logistics setting, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Scheduling & Coordination: Monitor emails for inbound appointment requests, schedule them via our logistics tool, and provide professional email confirmations.
- Inventory Documentation: Upload receipt paperwork into the receiving system and maintain accurate records of packing slips and bills of lading.
- Shipment Verification: Receive incoming pallets and containers, verifying quantities and conditions against purchase orders.
- WMS Management: Input data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and generate necessary pallet/case labels.
- Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet freshness and quality standards; report discrepancies to supervisors and Inventory Planners.
- Logistics Support: Monitor on-hand inventory levels to plan movement to offsite storage as needed.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with the merchandising team, truck drivers, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely processing.
- Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean, organized receiving dock.
What You Have (Required)
- Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.
- Physical Environment: Ability to work a full shift in a 36°ree;F refrigerated environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong data entry and analysis skills using Google Sheets.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar logistics role.
Nice to Have (Preferred)
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working in a food-based or perishable goods environment.
- Equipment: Experience operating a stand-up reach forklift.
- Systems: Familiarity with specific IMS or WMS platforms.
