Job Title: Principal Strategy – Business Data Analyst

Location: Coppell, TX

Pay: Full-Time Conversion: $135,000–$165,000 annually + bonus (target ~20%) + equity awards

Work Schedule:

  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Job Description:

The Principal Strategy – Business Data Analyst will join a highly visible team responsible for analyzing and guiding key business initiatives. This role combines advanced analytics with strategic insight, supporting leadership in making data-driven decisions that impact overall company performance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working with complex datasets and presenting actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders. This position requires a strong balance of technical expertise and business understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and performance insights
  • Partner with business leaders to define metrics and evaluate success across strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain data processes using SQL and data integration tools
  • Design data models that support scalable reporting and analytics
  • Establish and uphold standards for data accuracy, consistency, and governance
  • Create dashboards and visual reports to communicate findings clearly
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and executive audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data insights with business priorities

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or strategy-related roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data transformation processes (ETL)
  • Experience working with platforms such as Databricks or similar data environments
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and automation techniques
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with business acumen
