Location: Reports to Lakewood Campus

Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and outgoing professional to join our Career Services team in a full-time, out in the field role. This position is ideal for someone ready to represent our college in the community and actively build new clinical sites partnerships. The primary responsibility will be acquiring new clinical sites for students externship rotations and their job placement.

The coordinator will be out in the field at least 3 days per week, acquiring new contracts and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners.

JOB DUTIES:

Business Development

  • Actively identify and acquire new clinical sites for externship and job placement opportunities.
  • Spend a minimum of 3 days per week in the field developing connections and building new partnerships.
  • Pitch hiring opportunities to potential employers and maintain a database of leads.
  • Build and sustain relationships with current partners, scheduling employer site visits and assessing satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate job fair events and employer campus visits.
  • Gather and assist in obtaining the required documentation for state approval to ensure sites are compliant and ready for student placement.

Externship Coordination

  • Collaborate with instructors and student services to ensure timely and accurate externship releases.
  • Conduct externship orientations and assist with documentation compliance.
  • Hold student follow-up meetings every two months.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Assist in the preparation and participate of College Advisory Board meetings and establish recruitment for new board members.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in vocational education, job placement, or business development a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour (negotiable) plus bonuses
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift.
  • Location: On Campus and Field based, reporting to Lakewood, CA campus
