- 36 hours weekly, with one day off every other week
- Weekend on-call coverage (approximately 5-6 weekends annually)
- Focus on Outpatient Pediatrics, Adults, and Acute Care settings
- Additional location: Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon

Compensation Range: $32.48 - $48.72
Compensation Type: Hourly

Position Overview:
Assess and provide treatment for individuals with speech, language, oral and pharyngeal functions, as well as cognitive or communicative abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy interventions using standard techniques suited to the patient's condition.
- Guide and inform patients and their families about treatment plans.
- Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to performance improvement protocols.
- Assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services and provide information on relevant support programs.
- Operate in a consistently alert and safe manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
- Regular use of vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
- Regularly use hearing and speech for effective communication, including the ability to hear alarms and machinery malfunctions.
- Frequent keyboard usage and data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rarely climb.
Required Professional Licenses and Certifications:
Resuscitation Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Additional resuscitation certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
State Licensure Requirements:
- Illinois: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Missouri: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Oklahoma: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
- Wisconsin: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
