Position Overview
The staff physician will deliver patient care services while aligning with our organization's mission to provide hope, healing, and exceptional healthcare for children and their families.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Services:
- Deliver patient care services within the scope of clinical privileges, which includes but is not limited to:
- Administer direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Offer subspecialty consultations and follow-up care.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures.
- Provide urgent and emergent care services as required.
- Aim to achieve optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Contribute to the organization's patient satisfaction objectives as well as specific division targets.
- Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care.
- Utilize contemporary evidence-based practices or the latest experiential medicine.
Divisional Responsibilities:
- Set and demonstrate efforts to meet annual goals and objectives for the physician, division, and hospital.
- Support the medical education initiatives within the division, which includes:
- Supervising trainees and allied health professionals in delivering inpatient and outpatient services when applicable.
- Conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees.
- Participating in the education and supervision of trainees and allied health professionals assigned to the division.
- Engaging in postgraduate continuing education activities within the division.
- Assist in the research activities of the division, including initiatives led by other division members.
- Support the growth of division programs.
- Contribute to satellite efforts of the division when appropriate.

- Represent the organization in medical and business communities, as well as to the public, in a professional manner.
- Possess essential physical and mental skills to effectively perform the duties outlined, including:
- The ability to communicate via telephone, computer, or other devices.
- The capacity to fulfill after-hours or night call responsibilities as necessary.
- The ability to maintain a regular work schedule.
