The Role: Maternity & Pediatrics Registered Nurse (RN) - 36 hrs/week, 7p-7aThe Opportunity:MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team Maternal/Child Health team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.Maternity & Pediatrics is a department with a dynamic nursing team that covers the areas of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (mother/baby), Pediatrics, and the Level II Nursery. This position is 36 hours per week on nights and requires weekend, holiday, and on call rotation. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week.The Work: Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
