Family Medicine Physician Opportunity in St. Ansgar, Iowa

Join a Thriving Practice

  • Engage in a busy practice with immediate patient volume.
  • Provide comprehensive care in an outpatient clinic located in St. Ansgar, with responsibilities including inpatient rounding and emergency room duties in Osage.
  • Become part of a collaborative team consisting of 5 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers across two clinics.
  • Care for patients from newborns to seniors, with optional shared OB care.
  • Enjoy a flexible work schedule, with options for a 4 or 4.5-day work week.
  • Access lab, x-ray, and pharmacy services conveniently located within the clinic.
  • Work alongside on-site specialists, including a podiatrist, general surgeon, optometrist, and two CRNAs, with additional support from MercyOne North Iowa.
  • Admit patients to Mitchell County Regional Health Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital with around 600 annual admissions and an emergency department handling 4,000 visits, recognized as a Top 100 hospital.
  • Utilize a wide range of services at Mitchell County, including general surgery, pulmonary and sports rehabilitation, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, medical nutrition therapy, imaging services, and more.
  • Be affiliated with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center and regional teaching facility.
  • Eligible for NHSC site, PSLF, and Rural Iowa Primary Care Loan Repayment programs.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible (must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility).

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school and have completed a relevant residency program.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, including an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Attractive compensation package, including a $250,000 bonus.
  • Two-year income guarantee of $301,290.
  • Relocation assistance of up to $15,000.
  • Generous paid time off: 34 days when on base and 40 days when on production.
  • Annual continuing medical education allowance of $6,000.
