Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and language skills in a thriving educational setting. Two onsite part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are sought for the upcoming academic year, with a start date of August 25, 2026 (students begin September 8) and the assignment finishing June 10, 2027. This role offers full school-day hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The assignment will span two sites—Northdale Middle School (0.7 FTE) and Andover Elementary/High School—to provide support across different age groups and diverse needs.

Ideal applicants possess a current Minnesota SLPA license (pending licensure not accepted), along with dual certification documentation. Bring your expertise and enthusiasm to collaborate with students, teachers, and school-based therapy teams.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota SLPA license (required at time of interview)
  • Dual certification for practice in assigned caseload settings
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work onsite across multiple school locations

Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language therapy plans under the direction of licensed SLPs
  • Provide group and individual interventions for students with varying communication needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting for assigned caseload
  • Communicate effectively with classroom teachers, parents, and staff
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and student progress evaluations as needed
