Dental Hygenist

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play an essential role in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. You'll work alongside an experienced dental team committed to delivering outstanding clinical care and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
• Take digital radiographs and intraoral images
• Conduct periodontal charting and oral health assessments
• Screen patients for signs of oral disease, including periodontal disease and oral cancer
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants
• Administer local anesthesia (where permitted by Virginia law)
• Assist the dentist with diagnosis and treatment planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control protocols
• Ensure treatment rooms are properly prepared and sterilized
• Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism and compassion

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Local anesthesia certification preferred
• Experience with digital radiography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Comfortable using dental practice management software (Open Dental experience is a plus)
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
