<br/><br/><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Perform in-process inspections across all phases of the upfit process (mechanical, electrical, structural, finishing)<br>Conduct final inspections prior to shipment to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards<br>Validate work against work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications<br>Use inspection tools (calipers, torque tools, gauges, etc.) to verify conformance<br>Identify defects, nonconformances, and process deviations early in the build cycle<br>Stop or escalate production when critical quality issues are identified<br>Work with production teams to ensure containment of defects<br>Verify effectiveness of corrective actions before release<br>Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation<br>Ensure traceability of inspections, defects, and rework<br>Support documentation required for customer audits or compliance (e.g., ISO, internal QMS)<br>Input and track defects and inspection results in quality systems/databases<br>Work closely with production, engineering, and CI teams to clarify quality expectations<br>Provide feedback on recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement<br>Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)<br>Support implementation of standard work and quality control plans<br>Follow and reinforce adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS)<br>Assist in developing inspection standards, control plans, and checklists<br>Participate in audits (internal/external) as needed<br>Identify trends in defects and recommend improvement actions<br>Ensure no defective product is released to customers<br>Act as the final quality gate for outbound product</p><p>Required Credentials</p><p>Ability to read and interpret:<br>Engineering drawings/blueprints<br>Wiring diagrams (preferred)<br>Work instructions and specifications<br>Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement techniques<br>Understanding of quality concepts:<br>Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)<br>Basic SPC (preferred)<br>Defect classification and severity<br>Experience working in a structured QMS (ISO 9001 or similar strongly preferred)</p><p>Familiarity with:<br>Control plans<br>Inspection plans<br>Nonconformance processes<br>Corrective actions<br>Strong attention to detail and “zero-defect mindset”<br>Confidence to challenge production when quality is at risk<br>Good communication skills (able to clearly articulate issues and findings)<br>Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach<br>Ability to work cross-functionally with operations</p><p>Educational Requirements<br>High school diploma or GED required<br>Technical certification or associate degree preferred <br>2–5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing (automotive, upfit, assembly, or similar) <br>Experience with vehicle upfitting, mechanical assembly, or electrical systems is a strong plus<br>Ability to work on the production floor (standing, walking, bending) <br>Comfortable inspecting vehicles, including underbody, interior, and installed systems <br>Ability to lift moderate weight if needed (e.g., tools, components)</p><p>Why Join Us?</p><p>Competitive hourly wage based on experience<br>Opportunity to work with a growing, safety-focused team<br>Fast-track benefits eligibility after just 30 days of employment</p><p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">#PIQ</span></p><br/><br/>PandoLogic.
