Our organization is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to become part of our team! We are a community-oriented dental practice dedicated to preventive care and equipped with the latest advancements in technology. This role presents an excellent chance to manage a full patient schedule in a thriving dental office. We employ Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) and EMS Airflow technology for both prophylactic and periodontal treatments, and we will provide the necessary training and resources for you to become a certified provider. GBT enhances the patient experience and delivers scientifically supported outcomes while significantly reducing the need for hand scaling. Coupled with laser therapy using our Fotona (Nd:YAG and Er:YAG) laser, you will be able to offer patients cutting-edge dental solutions. Our lead dentist is Kois trained and holds a Master’s degree from the AGD, demonstrating a commitment to the latest advancements in dental care. We are a close-knit team looking for a dependable team player who is enthusiastic about learning and capable of building rapport with patients of all ages in our vibrant Sandpoint community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial oral screenings and review patients' oral health histories.
  • Detect conditions such as gingivitis, cavities, or periodontitis.
  • Apply Guided Biofilm Therapy to eliminate plaque, stains, and tartar from teeth and gums.
  • Educate patients of all ages on effective dental care practices and various dental conditions.
  • Capture X-rays and digital impressions using the iTero scanner.
  • Collaborate with the dentist to ensure appropriate treatment plans for different dental issues.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and charts.
  • Ensure patient comfort prior to examinations.
  • Properly sterilize dental instruments.
  • Monitor and manage dental supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA and OSHA).
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Friendly and patient demeanor.
  • Valid dental hygienist license and certifications.
  • Current CPR certification.
