Behavioral Health, Physician Behavioral Health

Deaconess Health System is seeking a compassionate, board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist to join our outpatient behavioral health team in Henderson, KY or Evansville, Indiana. This is a full-time, MondayFriday position serving patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting with strong clinical and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide medication management and ongoing therapeutic support for patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards for psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

• Eligible for an Indiana medical license.

• ECFMG certification for international medical graduates (if applicable).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
