Overview:

Our organization is in search of a Breast Imaging Radiologist to provide locum coverage in Illinois. Here are some key details:

  • A combination of on-site and remote services across various outpatient imaging facilities.
  • Responsibilities will encompass both screening and diagnostic mammography at three different locations.
  • Average patient volumes per day include:
    • Primary location: approximately 55-65 patients daily.
    • Additional locations: around 10-15 patients daily (part-time coverage during weekdays).
  • Utilization of Hologic and Siemens mammography equipment.
  • Duties involve conducting screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and biopsy procedures.
  • Biopsies will be performed at the primary site, including ultrasound-guided and stereotactic techniques.
  • Automated whole breast ultrasound (ABUS) will be available on select days.

Schedule:

  • Working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Coverage is required midweek for breast imaging, along with one additional day for general radiology.
  • No on-call duties are expected.

Qualifications:

  • MQSA certification is mandatory.
  • A fellowship is preferred but not essential.
  • General radiologists with mammography training are welcome to apply.

Systems Used:

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic.
  • Dictation Software: PowerScribe.
  • PACS: McKesson.

Support Provided:

  • Access to dedicated technologist support across various modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, and bone density.

Additional Information:

  • There is an ongoing need with the possibility of consistent scheduling.
  • Applicants must hold a valid license in Illinois.
  • Start date as soon as credentialing is completed.
