Your Leadership Role
As the Chief of Medical Physics, your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Vision: Establish the direction for physics operations and ensure alignment with departmental and institutional objectives. Act as a key advisor on technology, capital planning, and clinical program development.
- Clinical Excellence: Guarantee stringent quality assurance, patient safety, and adherence to all regulatory requirements. Supervise all physics operations, including treatment planning, machine QA, commissioning, calibration, and radiation safety protocols.
- Innovation & Integration: Spearhead the adoption of new technologies, automation, and adaptive therapy workflows.
- Mentorship & Talent Development: Foster a culture of academic growth through faculty development, resident training, supervision programs, mentorship, and staff engagement. Support teaching initiatives within our academic programs.
- Research Advancement: Secure funding, promote collaborations, define strategic research directions, and translate findings into clinical innovations.
- Organizational Representation: Enhance our national and international reputation through publications, presentations, and professional leadership roles.
- Operational Oversight: Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for technology and personnel.
- Recruitment: Attract and retain skilled professionals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and academic excellence.
Qualifications
- Essential:
- PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline
- ABR certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in academic clinical medical physics
- Desirable:
- Over 10 years of leadership experience
- Expertise across all modalities
- Strong research background and experience in strategic planning
- Proven ability to secure NIH or equivalent extramural funding
This position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
- Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945
- Compensation based on academic rank and experience
