Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
  • Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications Required:
  • Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • At least one year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • NIHSS Stroke Certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor is preferred.

Our facility is a comprehensive center with over 230 beds, serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center and provide a full range of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI capabilities and a Primary Stroke Center, recognized as a leading provider of emergency heart and stroke care.
