Position Overview

Role: RN - Pediatric
Department: Med Surg - 4N
Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, 36 Hours/Week (7 PM - 7 AM), Every 3rd Weekend
Sign-On Bonus: Discuss available options with your recruiter! Note: A two-year service commitment is required for external qualified candidates only.
Preferred Experience: Background in pediatric hematology/oncology is advantageous.
Shift Differentials: Available for night and weekend shifts.

Job Summary

The role involves delivering direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee patient care plans, ensuring accurate monitoring, recording, and communication of patient conditions.
  • Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
  • Evaluate and manage patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly use speech for effective oral communication.
  • Consistently stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing between 0-25 lbs.
  • Engage in frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
  • Utilize vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, as well as to identify colors.
  • Employ smell to recognize various odors.
  • Use hearing to receive verbal communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
  • Occasionally lift or move objects weighing 25-50 lbs. and assist with patient mobility.
  • Occasionally perform bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements with hands and legs.
  • Occasionally drive; rare instances of crawling and running may occur.
