Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in line with departmental needs and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

  • Regularly assesses patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
  • Conducts procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
  • Delivers exceptional care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, ensuring clarity in communication.
  • Instructs patients and families on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention, preparing them for self-management.
Qualifications Required:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
