*Role Overview* We are seeking a versatile IT Systems Administrator to serve as the technological backbone of our daily operations. In this role, you will balance continuous Tier 1 frontline user support with critical Tier 2 and Tier 3 infrastructure management. You will manage our Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments—driving improvements to user Single Sign-On (SSO)—maintain legacy on-premise infrastructure, configure network hardware, and play a hands-on role in supporting our expanding, hardware-agnostic AI initiatives.

*Key Responsibilities*
*Identity & Cloud Administration*
* *Identity & Access Management (IAM):* Manage Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft 365 environments. Take a leading role in implementing and improving Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities across multiple internal platforms to streamline and secure user access.
* *Microsoft 365 Administration:* Manage licensing, user provisioning, and access control for Exchange Online, Teams, and related services.
* *Security & Vendor Coordination:* Manage Proofpoint Essentials integration, administer Adobe Creative Cloud licensing, and collaborate with our external security provider (CyberDuo) to resolve complex security and network issues.
*Endpoint Management & User Support*
* *Help Desk Operations:* Serve as the primary point of contact for continuous Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical support issues and service requests across Windows and macOS environments.
* *User Administration:* Manage user accounts, mailboxes, file share permissions, and prepare complete workstation setups for new hires.
* *Endpoint Protection:* Maintain enterprise security by deploying, scheduling, and verifying patches, OS updates, and ESET antivirus agents across laptops, desktops, and servers.
* *Procurement:* Manage the procurement lifecycle for computer hardware, software, and specialized IT supplies.
*Internal Systems & Network Administration*
* *Server & Virtualization Management:* Administer a legacy VMware vSphere/ESXi environment (VM provisioning, storage, backups) and manage three Windows Server domain controllers and a file server.
* *Network Infrastructure:* Configure and maintain network hardware, including Cisco and Ubiquiti switches and wireless access points.
* *Operational Hardware:* Configure and support Zebra Android devices and tablets used for warehouse operations and HR time/attendance (Paychex Kiosk App).
* *System Integrations:* Manage backend functions for StarShip and Lightspeed integrations, ensuring reliable label printing and email-related functionality.
* *ISP & Telecommunications:* Serve as the primary technical liaison for TPx and Spectrum internet services at both the Eastern and Charter locations, and provision company phone systems.
* *Data Integrity:* Perform weekly verification and maintenance of Synology backup systems.
*AI Infrastructure & Innovation*
* Assist in deploying, managing, and scaling flexible hardware infrastructure dedicated to self-hosted AI compute.
* Support the backend architecture for a variety of autonomous AI agent frameworks and local large language models (LLMs), maintaining a hardware- and software-agnostic approach.
* Collaborate on internal AI projects, helping integrate emerging AI tools into daily business workflows and ensuring compute resources are optimized.
*Workload & Support Profile*
* *Tier 1 (Daily):* Continuous phone and remote support for software/hardware issues, spam mail mitigation, and active network monitoring.
* *Tier 2 (Weekly):* Remote software configuration, deeper troubleshooting, AD/SSO management, M365 administration, and user access control (approx. 2–3 advanced cases per week).
* *Tier 3 (Monthly):* Hardware repair/maintenance for PCs, Macs, Zebra scanners, and HR kiosks. Preparation of 1–2 new hire workstations per month.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in an IT Support, Systems Administrator, or similar hybrid role.
* Strong, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft 365, with a proven track record of managing and improving Single Sign-On (SSO) across enterprise platforms.
* Experience managing networking equipment (Cisco, Ubiquiti) and virtualization platforms (VMware/ESXi).
* High enthusiasm for AI technology, with a willingness to learn and adaptively support scalable, agnostic AI hardware and software frameworks. xibtplm

Pay: $64,553.97 - $97,742.41 per year
