We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Lead to oversee maintenance operations during assigned shifts while providing hands-on mechanical and electrical support. This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment, leading maintenance personnel, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations.
Essential Job DutiesIndustrial MaintenanceDiagnose and repair malfunctioning mechanical and electrical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
Assist the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager in scheduling maintenance projects and preventive maintenance activities.
Perform minor building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as needed.
Assist with maintenance shutdowns, outage planning, and equipment improvements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all required documentation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Serve as the maintenance lead during assigned shifts by directing workflow and supporting maintenance team members.
Act as the primary decision-maker for maintenance activities during the shift.
Communicate effectively between shifts to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of work.
Maintain detailed shift notes and ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented.
Train, mentor, and coach maintenance employees to strengthen safety awareness, equipment knowledge, and maintenance skills.
Maintain regular communication with the Plant Manager regarding equipment issues, operational concerns, and employee performance.
Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Five to seven years of industrial maintenance experience required.
Previous maintenance lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Expert-level mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and industrial equipment.
Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use maintenance software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, schematics, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 7 hours or more per shift).
Good hand, eye, and foot coordination.
Ability to concentrate for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to work around heavy machinery and fast-moving automated equipment.
This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Strict adherence to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is required.
ScheduleMust be available to work any shift as needed.
Must be available for overtime and emergency call-ins.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when required.
