Stores and Transportation Control C (Onsite)
Aerospace Inventory Control Specialist
Performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting, and shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.
What You Will Do
- Receives, checks, stores, issues, and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control
- Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store, and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material
- Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials
- Processes purchase orders for spare tooling and materials
- Proficiently uses computer hardware/software
- Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring, and packaging equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment
- Oversees inventory and maintains all government tooling property according to military regulations
- Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process
- Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices
- Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean
- Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
Physical Capability:
- Able to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds, demonstrating the physical endurance needed for the job.
This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40. Employment consideration is contingent upon successfully passing a DOT pre-employment drug test.
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
