Position Title: Assembly Line Engineer

General Description
  • Support new program development and production launch activities.

  • Support assembly automation and manufacturing system improvement activities.


Responsibilities
  • II-2-1. Assembly Process & Manufacturing Engineering

    - Analyze and improve mirror assembly processes to achieve OEE, quality, and productivity targets.

    - Support process preparation and production stabilization activities from development stage to SOP.

    - Support new assembly line setup, automation implementation, and manufacturing system development.

    - Support equipment installation, commissioning, automation troubleshooting, and process stabilization activities.

    - Support improvement activities for vision inspection systems, sensors, PLCs, jigs, and automation equipment.

    II-2-2. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

    - Manage and improve assembly process documents including PFMEA, work instructions, and process flow.

    - Perform continuous improvement activities based on Lean Manufacturing principles.

    - Maintain compliance with IATF, safety, and environmental standards.

    - Prepare and manage engineering documents, reports, and production data.

    II-2-3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

    - Lead manufacturing activities for SL TN during new program development TFT projects.

    - Coordinate technical discussions with headquarters, suppliers, and customers when required.


Job Requirements

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or assembly engineering preferred.

  • Experience in new program development and production launch preferred.

  • Experience with automotive exterior parts such as mirrors, door handles, lamps, or plastic components preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field required.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean training preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environments and production standards.

  • Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and assembly systems.

  • Understanding of automation equipment and Smart Manufacturing systems.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and engineering software.

  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and pneumatic systems preferred.
