Senior Staff Accountant

I am seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and tax preparation experience, be proficient in QuickBooks, and possess the ability to prepare accurate financial statements. Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting operations and financial reporting.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience.
• Proven experience using QuickBooks.
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• CPA designation or CPA candidate.
• Experience working in a public accounting or business environment.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax reporting.
