Mechanical Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Bartlesville, OK 74003
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Contract Length: 1 Year
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support maintenance operations and help ensure equipment is delivered on time according to operational needs. This role is responsible for maintaining assigned equipment, improving maintenance efficiency, reducing nonproductive time, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the Maintenance Base.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured maintenance programs, safety standards, and business system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment according to the applicable maintenance program.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Follow standard work processes and maintenance procedures.
• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to document maintenance activities.
• Record materials, supplies, labor costs, equipment movements, work orders, parts used, and maintenance time accurately.
• Maintain transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management business systems.
• Comply with Technology Lifecycle Management Product Line standards.
• Support efforts to improve maintenance efficiency, asset utilization, and people productivity.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Base.
• Help reduce equipment downtime related to maintenance, parts availability, repair authorizations, failures, and work-in-process.
• Support asset turnaround time improvements.
• Participate in cost-of-service-delivery improvement projects, including planned repair and reuse of parts.
• Assist with failure investigations as assigned.
• Comply with competency management requirements and training expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance, repair, or technician experience preferred.
• Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and maintenance standards.
• Comfortable using maintenance tracking systems or computerized business systems.
• Ability to accurately document work performed, parts used, and time spent on maintenance activities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Ability to comply with safety, quality, and competency requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a maintenance base, shop, manufacturing, industrial, oilfield, or equipment service environment.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and parts replacement.
• Understanding of reliability-centered maintenance practices.
• Experience supporting asset utilization, downtime reduction, or process improvement initiatives.
