Position Overview
  • Responsible for local lumber deliveries.

  • Transport lumber and building materials from store locations to customer job sites.

  • Operate a tractor-trailer equipped with a 45 ft flatbed and a forklift mounted on the rear.

  • Utilize the forklift for most deliveries; some heavy lifting will be necessary.

  • Heavy lifting may reach up to 100 lbs.

  • Work starts at 6:00 AM and continues until all deliveries are completed for the day.

  • A typical workday lasts between 10 to 12 hours.

  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday.

  • Occasional Saturday work may be required, but this is infrequent and typically a half-day, concluding by noon.

Compensation
  • As drivers gain experience with job sites, forklift operation, and paperwork, their speed and earnings will increase.

  • Annual earning potential ranges from $60,000 to $70,000.

  • Compensation includes commissions based on the delivery fees for each job.


Qualifications
  • Must reside within a 30-minute commute of our location.

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated safe driving experience is required.

  • Experience driving in urban environments is preferred.

  • Forklift experience is advantageous.
