Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations within our facility. This leadership role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Duties

  • Lead and manage nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of resident care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs.

  • Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and coordinate care effectively.

  • Ensure proper management of EMR and EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping.

  • Supervise shift management to guarantee adequate staffing levels and quality care delivery at all times.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for nursing staff to promote professional growth.

  • Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and Medicare regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license with extensive experience in nursing administration and management.

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, home health, hospice care, or acute care environments.

  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in nurse management.

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with MDS documentation processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, HIPAA regulations, and documentation standards.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers.
