Job Description Compensation : $84.13 - $116.34 per hour (Calculated from the $175,000 - $242,000 base range). Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements. In addition, provides medical physics support to Medical Imaging and other departments that utilize radiation producing equipment or radioactive material. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential ( Responsibilities)
- Perform Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) treatment planning.
- Perform conventional 3D treatment planning.
- Perform weekly patient chart review.
- Participate in weekly chart rounds.
- Perform in-vivo dosimetry.
- Perform patient specific IMRT QA
- Perform second check of IMRT and conventional treatment plans.
- Perform manual calculation check on computerized treatment plan monitor unit.
- Perform monthly testing of all measurement equipment.
- Perform Low and High dose Rate treatment planning
- Education/Accredited Programs
- M.S. Radiological Sciences/Medical Physics.
- Minimum of three years of Medical Physicist experience.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- Board certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology
- Professional License in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the New York State Education Department.
- Skills/Abilities
- Requires an understanding of radiation physics, medical physics, radiobiology, accelerators, simulators, brachytherapy equipment, treatment planning systems and radiation safety.
