Radiology - Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist
Job Description
Our organization is looking for a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Radiologist who is also proficient in Body Imaging. This role will lead a newly established Cardiothoracic Imaging service within the Department of Radiology, primarily based at our medical center located in Maywood, Illinois, just 20 minutes west of downtown Chicago.
The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic Radiology Department that includes over 50 specialized radiologists, featuring 14 experts in Body Imaging, one of whom has completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. This team supports clinical services across multiple facilities, including our medical center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, and various outpatient care centers. Our department also boasts a fully accredited residency program with 28 residents, including one body fellow and a total of four fellows.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Cardiothoracic Imaging services, including workflow management and protocol development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and educational initiatives.
- Provide some coverage in abdominal imaging as part of the role.
- As more cardiothoracic faculty are added, take on the directorship of the new cardiothoracic imaging section.
- Contribute to the growth of services in Cardiac and Thoracic imaging, including an active lung cancer screening program, CTA, cardiac imaging, and interstitial lung disease initiatives.
- Board Certification in Radiology.
- Fellowship training or equivalent experience in Cardiothoracic or Thoracic imaging.
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois by the time of hire.
This position is primarily onsite, but home workstations are available for call duties, offering flexibility in rotation coverage.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package, with starting salaries ranging from $159,000 to $985,945, based on academic rank and experience. Additional benefits include:
