Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Cardiac Surgeon to enhance our expanding academic cardiac surgery program. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in adult cardiac surgery, covering areas such as:
- Coronary revascularization
- Valvular disease
- Aortic pathology
- Complex cardiac surgical care
The selected individual will actively contribute to the advancement of the Cardiac Surgery program while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care. This role includes an academic appointment at our institution, with rank based on experience, and offers significant opportunities for involvement in teaching, quality initiatives, and clinical collaboration.

- Coronary artery bypass grafting

- State-of-the-art operating rooms and advanced perioperative technology
- Modern surgical suite with a system-wide electronic medical record (EMR)
- Teaching opportunities with residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following fellowship training
- Research experience and teaching capabilities suitable for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Leadership qualities are highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Proven experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Capacity to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, residents, surgery fellows, and other healthcare professionals
- Eligibility for academic appointment and medical licensure in New York State
