The Mission: Civil Electrical Integration & Site Modernization
On behalf of our client, a premier telecommunications infrastructure provider, we are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Wireless Telecom Electrician. This position is a critical field-delivery role focused on the physical installation, construction, and power integration of updated wireless communication sites during a major regional cabinet consolidation initiative.
Our client is looking for a licensed or highly experienced commercial/industrial electrician who understands the precise demands of a cell site footprint. You will take ownership of setting up new H-frames, running multi-diameter conduit systems, and leading critical power cutovers. If you can read complex electrical schematics, work seamlessly during night cutover windows, and hold a zero-compromise attitude toward safety, this team wants you on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduit System Installation: Run, bend, route, and fasten EMT, Rigid, and flexible (liquidtight) conduit systems up to 2 inches in diameter in strict compliance with electrical codes and structural plans.
- Structural Infrastructure Build: Build and secure high-grade H-frames for telecommunications equipment, junction boxes, disconnects, and heavy-duty electrical enclosures.
- Cable Routing & Pulling: Execute precise pulling and routing of power lines, specialized grounding networks, fiber, and hybrid cabling through newly installed containment systems.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and flawlessly interpret complex structural construction drawings, electrical line diagrams, and localized site footprints.
- System Cutovers & Modernization: Actively support the technical cutover and migration phase for high-capacity cabinet consolidations, ensuring zero unintended downtime.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all field craftsmanship strictly meets National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and customer specification guidelines. Serve as a vocal advocate for OSHA guidelines on site.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Core Experience: Proven experience operating as an electrician within wireless telecommunications infrastructure or complex commercial electrical construction.
- Technical Craftsmanship: Demonstrated mastery of conduit installations (up to 2” diameter), complex conduit bending techniques, and structural H-frame positioning.
- Blueprint Literacy: Expert ability to interpret electrical single-line drawings, telecom schematics, and structural documentation.
- Safety Credentials: Active OSHA-10 certification is strictly required for site access.
- Operational Flexibility: Must be fully comfortable and available to perform nighttime shift work to support critical network cutover schedules.
- Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate active outdoor construction terrain.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Direct electrical experience working on major carrier network rollouts (macro or small cell environments).
- Practical experience working heavily with telecom grounding matrices and lightning protection systems.
- Active CPR/First Aid certification.
Why Join This Infrastructure Team?
- Project Velocity: Play a direct, highly visible role in a massive, modern utility consolidation program.
- Technical Exposure: Expand your specialized electrical toolkit by mastering hybrid cable deployments and modern wireless power plant integration.
- Stable Field Backing: Work alongside a highly organized deployment team backed by premium equipment, structured logistical support, and dedicated project managers.
Recruiter Note:This is an active field role requiring exposure to heavy civil equipment and outdoor environments, alongside mandatory nighttime cutover shifts. Please ensure your resume highlights your specific experience with commercial conduit bending or direct wireless cell site work.
