Job Description Job Description Facilities Maintenance Technician – Commercial Properties Full-Time Position Commercial Maintenance Corporation is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep at multiple commercial retail and shopping center properties throughout the Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. This position requires traveling between properties throughout the day using a company vehicle while performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and grounds keeping duties with minimal supervision, completing work orders, responding to maintenance issues, performing repairs, documenting completed work, and assisting with property improvement projects.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong construction and maintenance background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate professionally with management, tenants, vendors, and coworkers. Required * Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record * Minimum of 2 years of construction or building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience * Ability to safely operate and use basic hand tools and power tools * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to use smartphones, tablets, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and work order management software * Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check * Willingness to work overtime, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed Preferred Skills * Minor-Working knowledge of: o Plumbing repairs o Electrical repairs o Drywall installation and repair o Painting o Carpentry o Concrete and asphalt repairs o Welding and metal fabrication o Landscaping Physical Requirements * Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds * Climb ladders and work at various heights * Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday * Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions * Travel between multiple properties throughout the day Tools & Equipment * Employee must provide basic hand tools * Company provides specialized tools, equipment, materials, and a company vehicle for work-related travel Compensation & Benefits * Competitive pay based on experience * Weekly pay * Overtime pay after 40 hours * Paid Holidays * Paid Time Off (PTO) * 401(k) Plan * Company Vehicle Provided During Work Hours * Company-Provided Specialized Equipment and Tools * Opportunities for advancement and career growth Schedule * Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Alternating Saturdays as needed * Overtime opportunities available * After-hours emergency response may be required on occasion Join Our Team We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we want a dependable team member who is committed to helping maintain and improve our shopping centers and commercial properties.
