Critical Care/ICU/PICU/NICU Physician Assistant
OSF HealthCare Illinois Neurological Institute seeks a Physician Assistant/Physician Associate to provide high-quality patient care to patients with a broad range of acute and complex neurological cases
Primarily inpatient neurocritical care, including comprehensive neurological assessments, daily rounding, histories and physicals, new consults, admissions, and discharges
Perform procedures in collaboration with neurocritical care intensivists
Prepare patients for surgery, manage postoperative care, and support smooth care transitions across the continuum
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with attending neurocritical care intensivists
Collaborative work environment with neurocritical care intensivists, residents, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients
Maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff
Exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients
Two 12-hour shifts per week (7 PM 7 AM), Rotating weekends and holidays as part of the schedule
Qualifications
Licensed to provide either advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act OR physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
BLS/ACLS Certified
NIHSS and ENLS Certifications preferred
Neurocritical care experience preferred
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hospital environment while maintaining patient-centered focus

Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-$68.10. This is an hourly position.
Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
