The Family Medicine Residency at our organization is a fully accredited ACGME program, recognized for its Osteopathic training, and accommodates 21 residents. This program uniquely combines community-focused and academic training, offering a diverse range of clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Residents receive their training at our healthcare facilities, gaining valuable exposure to various fields including adult medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery, behavioral health, and multiple specialty services. Our innovative two-week mini-block curriculum is designed to enhance focused learning, ensure continuity of patient care, and promote resident well-being, all while equipping graduates for a comprehensive practice in Family Medicine.
Residency Continuity ClinicThe continuity clinic is situated at our state-of-the-art outpatient facility, which spans 96,000 square feet and includes services such as outpatient surgery, emergency care, a comprehensive cancer center, laboratory and radiology services, vascular testing, specialty clinics, and a 24-bed short-stay center. This Brighton campus is also set to become the future location of our hospital, fostering an integrated healthcare environment that enhances both resident education and patient care.
Training EnvironmentOur residents thrive in a nurturing, team-oriented, and family-friendly atmosphere, benefiting from resources available in both a community hospital and the broader academic network. Additional educational opportunities encompass training in addiction medicine, lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, women’s health, and breastfeeding medicine. Weekly didactic sessions, practical workshops, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary learning experiences further enrich the educational journey of our residents.
