About Us: Established in 1916 by Dr. Walter Baker, a surgeon from South Bend, our clinic was inspired by a visit to the renowned Mayo Clinic, the first large multi-specialty practice of its kind. Motivated by this experience, Dr. Baker returned home and collaborated with five other specialists to create a similar institution, which evolved into our organization. Today, we encompass ten campuses and nearly 150 providers across more than twenty specialties. Despite significant growth over the past century, we remain committed to our founders' vision of patient-centered, physician-led healthcare. In 2021, we partnered with a leading independent, multi-specialty physician-led medical group based in Chicago, further enhancing our mission to provide exceptional patient care and increase our investment in healthcare services.
