Job Description: General Litigation Associate

Hybrid
$130,000-$220,000 DOE
We are supporting a well-established and growing law firm that is seeking a talented General Litigation Associate to join its expanding litigation team. This opportunity is available to attorneys located in Raleigh.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a diverse caseload from initial case assessment through trial or resolution.
Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys.
Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, expert coordination, and motion practice.
Draft persuasive pleadings, dispositive motions, and other litigation-related filings.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
Maintain strong client relationships by providing strategic legal counsel and regular case updates.
Practice Areas
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of civil litigation matters, including:
General Liability
Premises Liability
Medical Malpractice
Construction Defect
Transportation & Auto Liability
Additional complex insurance defense and civil litigation matters
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.
2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or a related civil litigation practice.
Experience managing cases with increasing levels of autonomy.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Client-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to working within a litigation team.
