Location: Georgetown, KY Job Type: Contract Travel: Up to 25% (Domestic & International) Overtime: Up to 25% Job SummaryOur client is seeking a Body Weld Quality Technician to support new model launches and pre-production activities. This role involves inspecting body weld tooling, validating part quality, supporting first builds, and troubleshooting tooling and assembly issues using portable CMM equipment. ResponsibilitiesInspect body weld tooling and parts using FARO, VectorArm, Perceptron, Leica, Creaform, or similar portable CMM equipment. Perform dimensional inspections using scanners, laser trackers, and quality fixtures. Review engineering data using PolyWorks, CATIA, and related software. Support prototype builds, pre-production trials, and first builds. Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and part fit issues. Document inspection results and communicate findings to project teams. Qualifications2–5 years of automotive or aerospace quality metrology experience. Experience with portable CMM equipment and 3D inspection software (PolyWorks, CAM2, PC-DMIS, Scene, CATIA). Strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to travel (25%) and work overtime, weekends, or off shifts as needed.
