Aviation MRO - Quality Engineer - Lakeland, FL
Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance initiatives within a fast-paced aviation MRO environment. This role will partner with production, engineering, and regulatory teams to drive process improvements, investigate quality issues, and ensure compliance with FAA and industry standards. Client Details Our client is a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, supporting commercial and defense aviation customers. Description Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with FAA and AS9100 requirements. Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions. Analyze quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support supplier quality, nonconformance investigations, and CAPA activities. Partner with engineering and operations to improve manufacturing and repair processes. Participate in customer and regulatory audits. Profile Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aviation, aerospace, or an MRO environment. Experience with AS9100, FAA regulations, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, and continuous improvement tools. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
