Job Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, while adhering to the standards of practice relevant to their state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.

  • Executes procedures, monitoring, and other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.
  • Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to surpass quality benchmarks and enhance the outstanding care provided to patients.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage the quality of care, coordinating, evaluating, customizing, and delivering a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.
Required Qualifications:
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or instructor status must be obtained within one year of starting employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or instructor status must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or instructor status must be obtained within one year of starting employment
  • No travel is required
