Clinic hours: Monday – Friday weekly. Looking for full time coverage, but will consider doctors with at least 2 weeks availability each month. Start July forward. Ongoing longer-term need.
Call ScheduleOn rotation: weeknight call ~1 full week/month; weekend call 1 week every 3–4 weeks. Weeknight call is outpatient only (1‑2 calls/night). Weekend call mostly handled by phone; some rounding needed.
Patient / Caseload InformationPrimarily medical oncology and hematology patients.
- Average patient census per clinic shift: 15–21
- Night call patient census: 1–2
- Hematology/Oncology split: ~40% Hem / 60% Med Onc
- No acute leukemia or malignant hematology cases
- Procedures: consults, follow-ups; bone marrow biopsy/transplant (BMT/BMB) preferred, but can work around
- New patient admissions handled by Hospitalist
- Rounding: assigned patients
- RNs: 5
- MAs: 5
- PA/NPs: 3
- Office Staff: 5
- 2 Full‑time Physicians and 2 Full‑time APPs staff the clinic
- Consults and follow‑ups
- Bone marrow biopsy/transplant (BMT/BMB) preferred but not strictly required
- Inpatient and outpatient experience required
- Call coverage (beeper‑based) with phone consults and occasional rounding
- Clinic and hospital (hospital on‑call for weekends and some weekday evenings)
- Facility is Trauma Level 2 center
- Facility is Stroke Certified
- PEDS Level 2
- Clinic features daVinci robot‑assisted surgery, Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator (IMRT, stereotactic radiation, 3D radiotherapy), PET/CT scans, SpaceOAR Hydrogel prostate treatment, and the region's only automated breast ultrasound (ABUS).
