Title: Vice President of Business Development - Air Cargo
Area to be covered: Georgia, USA
Responsibilities- Leading a commercial team across sales/account management.
- Managing and growing a portfolio of major global accounts in a farmer-style key account role.
- Nurturing existing customer relationships across 4-6 accounts per person.
- Building strong, long-term commercial relationships with freight forwarders, shippers and other revenue-generating accounts.
- Maintaining a measurable, disciplined sales process, logging all activity accurately in the TMS system.
- Travelling extensively across the territory to support customer development and account growth.
- Working closely with internal sales and operations leadership to deliver on commercial objectives.
- Representing the organization with professionalism, honesty and a team-first mindset.
- Supporting internal mobility and cross-functional opportunities where the right fit emerges.
- Director or Senior Director level experience preferred (INCLUDING TEAM MANAGEMENT).
- Background in carrier-side sales, or air freight forwarding with strong carrier exposure.
- Experience working with large global freight forwarders, shippers or similar commercial accounts.
- Stable career history with evidence of commitment and progression rather than being at a new organization every 2-4 years.
- Comfortable in a travel-heavy role with 60-70% travel.
- Respectful, honest, collaborative and low-ego approach aligned with organizational culture.
- Ambitious and career-driven, with the ability to invest in long-term success.
