This is an entry level position in our dealership accounting department that provides lots of variety. It's a perfect opportunity to learn dealership accounting from an experienced staff. Our dealership has been thriving in Denver for over 40 years.The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining schedules, receipting payments and general bookkeeping duties. To be successful, the ideal candidate should be able to learn at a fast pace and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.Job Responsibilities:Filing paperworkDealership accounting projectsAccounts Receivable - receipt payments from customers, monitor aging and collect on past due accounts.Print and send accounts receivable statements.Basic reconciling.Create and maintain basic spreadsheets.Accurate and fast data input into the general ledger, such as new factory invoices.Answering the switchboard; acting as back up to the receptionistGeneral office duties and administration as assigned.Project manager, as needed and assigned by managementAccounts Payable- paying bills on a timely basisRequirements:Required education: High School Diploma/GED required.Understanding of accounting fundamentals and best practices.Other Skills/Abilities:Working knowledge of computer software programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Ability to understand and comply with strict privacy and sensitivity of confidential matters.Strong organizational skills and a keen ability to prioritize to effectively adhere to and meet deadlines.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail.Team player with strong work ethic.Accounting related experienceAbility to take notes and willingness to learn new skillsCredits vs DebitsCommunication skills with clients, as well as coworkersSelf motivated and detail oriented Rate of Pay: $20.00 - $24.00Hours: Monday - Friday 9-6pm or 8-5pmMile High Honda, Acura is an equal opportunity employer committed in policy and practice torecruit, hire, train, and promote, in all job classifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability or other classes protected by federal or state law.
