Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN is committed to ensuring safety in their practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, while also recognizing their own knowledge and experience levels. They take responsibility for enhancing their own understanding and that of their patient care team through effective communication and the use of available resources. Additionally, the RN is tasked with reporting safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions and medical errors, and must be knowledgeable about the patient demographics they serve. They supervise and guide the delegation of tasks among team members and collaborate with other healthcare providers. The RN consistently prioritizes and evaluates interventions aimed at measurable improvements in patient care.

Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse for Monmouth Medical Center. The RN will provide essential nursing care within the healthcare system, following the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while upholding ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
    • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Proficient in computer usage
  • Certifications and Licenses:
    • BLS and ACLS certification
    • Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
    • Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
    • Completion of clinical experience from an NLN accredited program
    • Eligibility for screening certification
    • National certification
Scheduling Requirements

Night shift, 36 hours per week.

  • The RN ensures safety in practice and adheres to evidence-based principles, recognizing their own knowledge and experience while fostering growth in themselves and their team.
  • Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • Maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
  • Supervises and directs task delegation among team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
  • Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing interventions with measurable outcomes for improvement.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care, tailoring the care plan to meet individual patient needs.
