Mechanical Engineer (MEP Consulting)

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing MEP engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality mechanical designs for some of the region's most challenging and rewarding projects.


What You'll Do:

  • Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for a variety of projects
  • Prepare engineering calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Develop HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork and piping layouts
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines
  • Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and design reviews
  • Assist with construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building, mechanical, and energy codes
  • Work closely with project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical design experience in an MEP consulting environment
  • Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, and energy codes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • EIT certification is preferred but not required
