As a Supply Chain Business Manager IV, you will collaborate with global suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing organizations, and cross-functional business partners to solve complex challenges and drive operational excellence.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for managing supplier performance, improving supply chain execution, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support business goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage supplier relationships across multiple commodity categories, including heaters, pumps, linear motion, COTS, and distribution.
- Drive supplier delivery performance with a primary focus on On-Time Delivery (OTD/OTDP) metrics.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement throughout the production cycle to support demand requirements.
- Establish supplier performance goals and track metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate supplier risks, quality performance, and operational capabilities.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and operations teams to resolve complex supply challenges.
- Develop and implement process improvements related to procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing strategies.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives, including JIT, Kanban, and min/max strategies.
- Drive supplier manufacturing improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and monitor product costs to prevent unfavorable price variances.
- Create business presentations, process flow documentation, dashboards, and improvement reports.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing suppliers, commodities, or global manufacturing operations.
- Strong supplier management and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- Macros
- Dashboards
- Data Lookup/Indexing functions
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (primarily domestic travel).
