Business Analyst

Info Labs Inc., a U.S.-based IT staffing firm supporting State of Florida agencies, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a state government IT modernization project in Tallahassee, FL. You will help research and document the replacement of a legacy investigative Records Management System (RMS) with a modern, cloud-based solution.

This is a full-time, on-site contract role at the client's Tallahassee headquarters (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday). Local candidates are strongly preferred — this role is not remote. Duration is 12 months with a one-year renewal option.

What you'll do:

• Document business processes end to end and gather functional and non-functional requirements for a new cloud RMS
• Build requirements traceability matrices and use case / test case scenarios
• Create system, integration, performance, and UAT test plans, and execute test scenarios
• Facilitate JAD sessions with cross-functional agencies and stakeholders
• Provide weekly status reporting and support train-the-trainer efforts through implementation

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years on enterprise-level IT projects
• 7+ years gathering and documenting business requirements on full software development life cycle projects
• 7+ years integrating multiple systems or applications
• 7+ years facilitating JAD sessions with cross-functional stakeholders
• 7+ years creating comprehensive test plans and using automated testing tools
• Extensive knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Master's degree
• Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA)
• Experience with JIRA, MS Visio, Silk Central, and Java/JSF/J2EE
• Prior state government or law enforcement records management experience

Additional notes:

• Must be able to work on-site in Tallahassee, FL daily
• The selected candidate must pass a background investigation (criminal record check, drug screen, and credit history check) and comply with CJIS security requirements
