Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to partner with business and technology stakeholders in defining, analyzing, and delivering scalable technology solutions. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, evaluating existing systems, supporting database and reporting environments, and ensuring that business objectives are effectively translated into technical specifications and actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and review business requirements documents, system design specifications, user acceptance testing plans, and post-implementation reviews.
• Translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Support solution design discussions and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.

Systems & Database Support

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data and database solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Support database administration activities, including configuration management, backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and database-related issues.

Solution Development & Implementation

• Research, evaluate, and recommend business and technical solutions that address organizational requirements.
• Support the deployment of solutions into production environments in accordance with established change management processes.
• Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and technology modernization initiatives.

Infrastructure & Performance Optimization

• Monitor and assess current technology environments to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.
• Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness.
• Support compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational expectations.

Reporting & Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive business, technical, and operational documentation.

• Support reporting requirements through data analysis and report development.

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in business systems analysis, data analysis, systems support, or a related role.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience working with enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, and data integration processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Database technologies such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
• Programming knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
