Compensation: $125,000–$135,000 annually
Bonus: Discretionary annual performance bonus
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support two distinct business groups.
This position requires a well-rounded HR professional who can adapt their communication and coaching style to different personalities, teams, and workplace cultures. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, strong employee relations expertise, and a proven ability to influence leaders, manage organizational change, and lead high-impact HR projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with leaders across two culturally different business sectors.
- Coach managers through employee relations, performance, communication, and leadership challenges.
- Provide practical HR guidance that considers both business needs and employee impact.
- Adjust communication and partnership styles when working with sales-oriented teams, conservative business groups, and long-tenured leaders.
- Help leaders navigate organizational and cultural change with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Employee Relations
- Independently manage employee relations matters from initial concern through final resolution.
- Lead workplace investigations from start to finish, including interviews, documentation, findings, and recommended actions.
- Coach leaders through performance issues, corrective action, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee situations.
- Provide guidance on workplace accommodations, including requests involving hybrid or remote work.
- Support employees and leaders with leave-of-absence matters and related workplace concerns.
- Conduct in-person employee terminations independently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential employee relations documentation.
Generalist HR Support
- Serve as a knowledgeable first point of contact for questions involving compensation, benefits, employment law, compliance, learning and development, performance management, and company policies.
- Resolve routine HR matters independently and engage internal subject-matter experts when issues require specialized support.
- Support talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning.
- Identify opportunities to modernize HR practices and improve processes while remaining sensitive to the organization's established culture.
- Partner with HR specialists and shared-services teams to deliver consistent and effective support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; this is a firm requirement.
- 10+ years of progressive, broad-based Human Resources experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on employee relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently conducting workplace investigations from intake through resolution.
- Experience advising on accommodations and leaves of absence.
- Experience independently conducting in-person employee terminations.
- Strong HR Business Partner experience supporting and coaching business leaders.
- Broad generalist knowledge across compensation, benefits, compliance, employment law, learning and development, and performance management.
- Ability to work onsite in Dallas 5 days per week.
